Bangkok Day 2

We started the day with breakfast at the hotel! Didn't manage take any photos of the buffet spread coz we were too busy stuffing ourselves and discussing our plans for the day (too excited lol). I enjoyed the breakfast at our hotel a lot! They had my favourite eggs station (which I had everyday) and lots and lots of fruits (which I had everyday as well)!!

After breakfast we headed to chatuchak weekend market since it was Sunday! Took the Bangkok Sky Train (BTS), which didn't take long before we reach Mo Chit station, where the weekend market is located at. Sa looked very excited for shopping in the pictures right! While I look like I just woke up ._.

And tada~ bumped into Tiffy at Chatuchak within the first hour there! We are damn fated lol. Chatuchak how big we also can meet. This wasn't the only time I met her in bangkok! The second time was at a random 7-11 near our hotel! Super duper fated with this girl.

Having these cheap ice pops at chatuchak is pure bliss. The sun in bkk can get really really big sometimes, which makes it horrible to shop at chatuchak since it's outdoors. Sa and I were consistently looking for drinks/ice-cream/anything cold lol.

Sa looking very satisfied with his ice pop while I was dying in the heat. Nonetheless we still had fun shopping at chatuchak and I love this shopping paradise (despite the heat)! It's a must to visit chatuchak (hence making it a must to head to bkk over a weekend) when you're here!!

We left around 4 when we were tired and hungry and had no free hands left to shop hehehe. Headed back to hotel to drop off all our loots and freshen up after a sweaty day at chatuchak!

Sa and I shared an eclair at the hotel cafe before heading out again. Told sa I remember having desserts here with my dad a few years back when we stayed at the same hotel, and this time round I had it as well! :)

On the way to asiatique night market via a boat! We took the BTS to Saphan Taksin station before hopping onto the boat that brings us to the night market. Pretty cool experience :)

The scenery shots sa managed to capture with his camera while on the boat. It was really really pretty :)

Asiatique! This place is more of a upscale night market. Definitely more comfortable and spacious as compared to chatuchak hahaha! Shopping here is little more expensive, but I guess it's reasonable since the quality and service seems better as well. Other than shopping, they also have a food paradise in the middle of the night market with lotsa foodie (our fav)!

Sa and I settled down for some authentic thai food like phad thai and tom yum goong! Oh look the cups/bowls they provided us with for the water lol! They look more like bowls for our soup eh. In the end we gave up the idea of drinking from them and drank straight from the big glass bottle instead lol.

Walked around the place and we spotted a ferris wheel!! Not too sure if it was even operating coz that area was like a ghost town with construction going on nearby. We didn't try the wasabi macarons as well (it sounded too gross lol).

Heading back to Siam! Took the wrong side of the BTS (damn noob) so we had time to take lots of photos but here's just one of them :) Managed to shop at the shopping area outside our hotel when we got back to Siam coz it was still early. The perks of staying in the shopping district yayyyyyy! And that pretty much sums up our day 2!
