Bangkok Day 2

We started the day with breakfast at the hotel! Didn't manage take any photos of the buffet spread coz we were too busy stuffing ourselves and discussing our plans for the day (too excited lol). I enjoyed the breakfast at our hotel a lot! They had my favourite eggs station (which I had everyday) and lots and lots of fruits (which I had everyday as well)!!

After breakfast we headed to chatuchak weekend market since it was Sunday! Took the Bangkok Sky Train (BTS), which didn't take long before we reach Mo Chit station, where the weekend market is located at. Sa looked very excited for shopping in the pictures right! While I look like I just woke up ._.

And tada~ bumped into Tiffy at Chatuchak within the first hour there! We are damn fated lol. Chatuchak how big we also can meet. This wasn't the only time I met her in bangkok! The second time was at a random 7-11 near our hotel! Super duper fated with this girl.

Having these cheap ice pops at chatuchak is pure bliss. The sun in bkk can get really really big sometimes, which makes it horrible to shop at chatuchak since it's outdoors. Sa and I were consistently looking for drinks/ice-cream/anything cold lol.

Sa looking very satisfied with his ice pop while I was dying in the heat. Nonetheless we still had fun shopping at chatuchak and I love this shopping paradise (despite the heat)! It's a must to visit chatuchak (hence making it a must to head to bkk over a weekend) when you're here!!

We left around 4 when we were tired and hungry and had no free hands left to shop hehehe. Headed back to hotel to drop off all our loots and freshen up after a sweaty day at chatuchak!

Sa and I shared an eclair at the hotel cafe before heading out again. Told sa I remember having desserts here with my dad a few years back when we stayed at the same hotel, and this time round I had it as well! :)

On the way to asiatique night market via a boat! We took the BTS to Saphan Taksin station before hopping onto the boat that brings us to the night market. Pretty cool experience :)

The scenery shots sa managed to capture with his camera while on the boat. It was really really pretty :)

Asiatique! This place is more of a upscale night market. Definitely more comfortable and spacious as compared to chatuchak hahaha! Shopping here is little more expensive, but I guess it's reasonable since the quality and service seems better as well. Other than shopping, they also have a food paradise in the middle of the night market with lotsa foodie (our fav)!

Sa and I settled down for some authentic thai food like phad thai and tom yum goong! Oh look the cups/bowls they provided us with for the water lol! They look more like bowls for our soup eh. In the end we gave up the idea of drinking from them and drank straight from the big glass bottle instead lol.

Walked around the place and we spotted a ferris wheel!! Not too sure if it was even operating coz that area was like a ghost town with construction going on nearby. We didn't try the wasabi macarons as well (it sounded too gross lol).

Heading back to Siam! Took the wrong side of the BTS (damn noob) so we had time to take lots of photos but here's just one of them :) Managed to shop at the shopping area outside our hotel when we got back to Siam coz it was still early. The perks of staying in the shopping district yayyyyyy! And that pretty much sums up our day 2!

Blessed Christmas

This year's christmas was a really special one. Not sure if it's because I don't really remember how my previous christmases were due to my goldfish memory (so I couldn't really compare), but I'm feel so thankful for everything. My family, my boyfriend, my friends. I enjoyed the company and the food the most! And presents were just a bonus to this special season!

The best part this christmas was the family christmas party we had on Sunday night! It was a fun-filled night where everyone gathered to chill-out and chit chat over dinner. I invited sa over as well, and I'm glad he had fun as well!

Following which on Monday, I spent christmas eve with the favourite clique! Stuffed so much food during dinner and there were so much leftovers. Did our christmas exchange before started playing games and ended up with bloated bellies and full bladders after 2 rounds of 'circle of death'. My stomach was churning the whole night lol. But it was still a fun night nonetheless! Loving the company of my friends yeahhhhhhhh!!!!

Other than the sushi platter at the corner, everything else was home cooked by my masterchefs dad and mum! I'm amazed at how well my parents can cook (secretly hoping I'll be able to cook like them one day)! We had so so so much yummy food that day.

My two favourite cousins! :) We didn't have a christmas tree at my popo's house so Grace brought over some lights and we made our very own christmas tree against the wall! I love the idea! Credits to Grace :) It also became our photo taking spot of the night!

Le sister and boyfriend! Haha I really don't see much resemblance between my sis and I, and neither have we receive any comments from people telling us that we look alike. Hahaha could be because of the age gap :P We don't look alike right? Or do we?!

Christmas eve! Didn't take much photos on my phone though. That's eugene with his christmas exchange gift hahahaha. BEER FOR THE BEAR!

Enjoy the last few days of 2012 everyone~

Bangkok Day 1

Bangkok Day 1

Happy faces before boarding! Just hanging out before boarding and doing some colouring hehehe. We were so damn excited ^^

On the way to the hotel! Talking about the hotel, I love love love the location of Novotel Siam Square! It was right smack in the middle of the shopping district which has a pretty good night market right outside the hotel! Super convenient and highly recommended hehehe. No pictures of the hotel coz we didn't take any lol.

Walked to platinum fashion mall after checking in and spent about 2 hours at the extension area of the mall! I was finding shoes to buy because smart me didn't bring any other pair to bkk and the one I was wearing was about to die. There was nothing much though! I ended up with only a pair of sandals lol. I still prefer shopping for shoes in Taiwan. The shoes are so much more comfy and cheap there.

Sa took a photo of the directory just to show how the mall was so much more catered to the females than to males. But obviously that isn't true!! Sa still had a good time shopping at the mall! Many of the guys apparels were located on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of the old wing in platinum mall (FYI GUYS).

That's us on a tuktuk ^^ Tried to haggled with a few tuktuk drivers but we failed miserably. I cannot haggle alone :'( Sa obviously doesn't try as well. And because we were running late for our dinner reservation (after going a little crazy in platinum mall) we had no choice but to just hop onto a tuktuk and gave up haggling hahaha.

I secretly like taking tuktuk hehe! Though our faces were pretty much covered with a layer of dust and I was reluctant to chitchat with sa on the tuktuk because I didn't want all the dust into my mouth, I like how the tuktuk driver brings you to your destination asap LOL. They don't waste time being stuck in bkk's signature heavy traffic, they just chiong all the way. WOOHOO ^^

Dinner at Somboon Seafood restaurant! Made reservations this time round so we walked in like a boss hahaha. Sa and I had a yummy seafood dinner with lotsa food! There were only 2 of us so we couldn't have a huge variety of food but we still ordered pretty much anyway! We had crab, tiger prawns with glass noodles, fish and some veg as well. I love steamed fish so the fish was my favourite ^^ The dinner came up to less than 50sgd HOW CHEAP IS THAT PLEASE?!?!?!?

After dinner we took a stroll along the famous patpong night market where pingpong shows were everywhere lol. Nope I didn't dare to watch the show hahaha. We were walking along the pubs and this local thai came up to us and stuffed the menu in my face. I was quite disgusted already :'( Hahaha!

That's about it for Day 1 :) I took 2 weeks since I got back to type out a short post about the 1st day of my trip. Hahaha what a pig ._.

Back from paradise

I'm back from paradise (bangkok) SIGH. I had so so so much fun shopping and eating and walking and getting foot massages and everything else! Enjoyed myself very much I wish I could stay a little longer. But oh wells, I'm back (with a bursting luggage as expected)!!

I shall get down to blogging about my trip soon! Once I get hold of the pictures :) As for now, I'll leave you with some pictures I took with my ex-phone hehehe ^^ Proud to be an iPhone 5 user as of now!!!!!!!!

Yummy food we had at Somboon! We had a whole fish, crab, glass noodles with extremely huge prawns, and some veg I didn't take photo of. The whole bill came up to less than 50 bucks. How cheap! Super satisfied!

I think this was day 2 while waiting for the BTS! Otw to shopping paradise chatuchak! ^^

Floating market early in the morning! Hahaha it was a fun experience :) Bkk is not all about shopping guyzzzzz!

Halfway through exams

I didn't know setting up a blog could be so easy!! (I sound like a noob lol) But anyway I'm so excited to start a new blog again! I wonder how long can I last here actually :/ Having a lot of fun playing around with the template settings and all the rest of the nonsense. Wheeeeeeee.

Having my last paper next thursday!! I should really start studying for my last paper, considering how much content I have to memorize. But I'm so lazy :( Hahaha I was so happy when my papers ended yesterday and have been nua-ing ever since then. It's tough to have 2 qualitative exams on the same day, but I kinda asked for it since I could have just chosen some other elective whoops. I felt so drained after the whole thing and my left hand was aching throughout my second paper. This shall serve as a reminder for me to choose my electives wisely and not kill myself.

OMG YAY X FACTOR IS UP ON YOUTUBE!!! AM OFF TO WATCH IT AND I SHALL START STUDYING AFTER THAT K DEAL BYE GUYSSSSSSSSS
